RIP DIMEBAG

Dimebag Darrell Abbott was best known for co-founding the group Pantera and most recently moved on to form the group Damageplan. His life was take far too early in a sensless act of violence on December 8th, 2004 during a show in Columbus Ohio. This is a huge loss to the music world. RIP Dime, You will be missed!
Megadeth - The System Has Failed

What Can I say Dave Mustaine is back in a big way. After over a year with a hand injury that kept Mr. Mustaine from playing guitar and selling all his instruments on ebay Megadeth is back with a vengeance. With the last few albums being poor efforts, The System Has Failed has returned to the good old days from which albums such as Peace Sells.. But Who's Buying (1986), and Rust In Peace (1990) were born. Political as ever and heavy as ever, Dave seems to have found a renewed passion for the band. Although Dave is suing bassist and other founding band member Dave Ellefson, no wait maybe it's Dave suing Dave... whatever. The internal crap never ends with this band, but never the less this is a damn good album. Official Megadeth Site.
Disturbed - Believe

This is a band I heard a few years ago and didn't really care for. Go figure, after seeing a few of their videos on Loud, the band has worn me down. With such tracks as Liberate and Prayer these guys can get the blood pumping. This album marks the second effort for the band. I have now gone and given the first album "The Sickness" a real listen and guess what, I am kind of taking to it as well. Disturbed seems to be doing something right as they shared the main stage at Ozzfest 2004 with the likes of Chevelle, Marylin Manson, Korn, and the man himself Ozzy. I look forward to more from them in the future. Official Disturbed Site.
System Of A Down - Toxicity

A very cool original sounding band, Toxicity is the latest release for System Of A Down. Another political band that blows me away. I hate the fact that political bands can sound so great. Take Rage Against The Machine and Megadeth for example. Those bands rock. I just wonder sometimes about all the griping if they actually sit back and think where their bank accounts have come from. Capitalism?? Their so against it but it works in their favor. Anyway's numerous hits on this album. Look for tracks such as, Chop Suey, Aerials, and Science. Official System Of A Down Site.
Lacuna Coil - Comalies

Usually I am not a big fan of bands with women lead singers in a hard rock environment, but this is one of the exceptions. Although there are some very heavy bands with women singers that I dig like Kittie, Otep, and Evanescence I guess, Lacuna Coil is one of the best I have heard. Cristina Scabbia has a great voice and the band compliments her well. I also can't believe that they are all Italian. I never would have thought something this cool could come out of Italy. Its worth a listen especially their new single "Swamped". Official Lacuna Coil Site.
Cinderella - Night Songs

And I bet your asking what about the classic Metal? Don't you give that a listen anymore? Hell ya! I didn't care too much for other Cinderella albums but this one kicks ass. A cross between AC/DC and Aerosmith, how can you go wrong with that? Tracks such as Somebody Save Me, Nobody's Fool, and Shake Me, this album is definitely a classic. Released in 1986 Night Songs is an cd I will always spin from time to time. Cinderella Official Site.
